A metal recycling center located in Lexington, South Carolina, USA, has put our Y81PTZ Automatic Metal Baler into operation for aluminum can recycling. The system is designed to compress used beverage cans efficiently while ensuring consistent bale weight and stable production performance.
The Y81PTZ metal baler is currently processing aluminum cans with an output capacity of approximately 700 kg per hour. To meet the customer’s operational requirements, the production line is equipped with a magnetic separation conveyor and a weighing system. This integrated solution helps maintain consistent bale weights and ensures that each compressed bale meets the customer’s specified weight requirements.
One of the most distinctive features of this project is the specially designed weighing hopper system. Compared with conventional metal baling lines, this configuration provides more accurate material weighing before the cans enter the baler.
The weighing chamber is equipped with a pneumatic hydraulic rod that controls the opening of the discharge door. Once the preset weight is reached, the door opens automatically to release the cans into the baling process.
In addition, the weighing hopper can temporarily store the cans during the weighing stage. This design prevents materials from falling out while weighing is in progress, improving overall weighing accuracy and helping ensure more consistent bale weights.
Another important feature is the inclined bottom structure of the weighing chamber. When the discharge door opens, the cans naturally slide downward under gravity, allowing smooth and efficient material transfer without additional conveying mechanisms.
By combining the automatic baler with the magnetic separation conveyor and the customized weighing system, the recycling center has achieved a more controlled and efficient baling process. The system enables stable material feeding, accurate weight control, and uniform bale production, helping the customer meet their operational requirements for aluminum can recycling.
This project demonstrates how customized equipment configurations can be integrated into a metal recycling line to address specific processing needs while maintaining reliable production performance.
